Multiple graded winner Sudden Separation finished 1˝ lengths back in third.
Saddled by trainer John Weghorst, First Prize Diamonds picked up her 8th win in her last nine starts. The daughter of multiple stakes sire Carters Cartel completed the 350 yards in :17.292 seconds, a 95-speed index. Owned by Gary Hartstack, First Prize Diamonds entered the Easy Date off a win in the Grade 3 Decketta Stakes on April 1st. The $34,680 winner's purse boosted the bay filly's bankroll to $133,534. Weetona Stanley bred First Prize Diamondss from the Fly Jess Fly mare First Prize Diamond. PV Quarter Horse Farms, LLC's homebred Send Me Good Candy earned $11,560 for the second-place effort. Trainer Clinton Crawford conditions the Good Reason Sa filly out of the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Roll On Candy Wagon. Champion jockey G.R. Carter, Jr. was aboard the earner of more than $175,700. Multiple graded winner Sudden Separation was a game third after getting bumped at the break. Larry Sharp saddled the Insperable 6-year-old for owner/breeder Duane Murphy. Berkley Packer was aboard the filly out of Okie Dokey Annie by Okey Dokey Dale. She picked up $6,358 to bring her mark to over, $260,000. Shaken Pappasito, Jess A Diva Chick, Phoebesdynasty, Mia Kine, Another Desire and Southern Lulu completed the field. |
