Jordan Eagle was bred in Texas by Weetona Stanley. The 2-year-old colt is owned by Javier Rosique, trained by Josue Ponce and was ridden to victory by Jesse Levario. "He didn’t break as well tonight as his last race, but finished like we knew he could, Ponce said after the race. Jordan Eagle is by leading sire One Famous Eagle and is out of the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare, Pyc Prize Doll. He is a half-brother to second-crop sire Fast Prize Jordan who sired Prize Dasher the third-place finisher in the LQHBA Million Futurity(RG1) tonight. "We bought him at The Ruidoso Sale and sent him to Mexico," Rosique said following the victory. "He's only been in the United States for three months, but has been exceptional. We thank Josue and Jessie; we are very proud of him!" Jordan Eagle has won three of five lifetime starts and the $155,735 first-place purse increases his career earnings to $173,228. He was also second in the Dash For Cash Juvenile at Lone Star Park in October. Wii B, a Might B Valiant colt racing for owner Arturo Ibarra and trainer Jose Sanchez III finished a head back and earned $52,950 for second. Bielau Oaks bred the sorrel colt in Texas from the FDD Dynasty mare Devil Wears Prada. Ridden by Eddie Sanchez, Wii B has compiled a (7) 3-3-0 record and earned $81,914 this season. Josue Huitron also saddled Canonball Run, who was a length-back in third for owner Belinda Paredes. Bobby D. Cox bred the American Runway gelding in Texas from the Mr Jess Perry mare Sinuous. He earned $31,147 for the effort. Luis Vivanco had the riding call. Mia Jet In, Running For Corona, Some Tempting Dash, Moment Of Fury, Pritty, Lottacash And Corona and Racy Secret completed the field. |
