Crush The Curve Futurity at Pocatello Downs.
Under jockey Jesus Canales, The Prize Ferrarri cruised to a 1-¼ length victory while stopping the clock in :15.542 seconds, earning a 98 speed index over the 300 yard distance to establish the top mark. Trainer Mark Hanson saddled the Oklahoma-bred son of champion The Louisiana Cartel for owner's RTM Stables, Robin Dunn, Kevin Dunn and Bryon Goody. Bred by Weetona Stanley, The Prize Ferrarri is out of Ferrarri Fast Prize by Mr Jess Perry. The Prize Ferrarri is a half-brother to Grade 3 winner Ferrari James, Grade 2-placed V Power and Grade 1-placed Ferrari GT. The second dam is the Heritage Place Futurity winner and grade 1 producer Fast First Prize by Heza Fast Man. The 10 fastest qualifiers will return to Pocatello Downs to vie for the winner's share of the $25,000-est. purse on Wednesday, June 24th.
