Under jockey Armando Cervantes the sorrel filly rolled to a two-length win while completed the 300 yards in :15.375 seconds, a 96 speed index. It was the first win in three starts this season for the Monty Arrossa trainee. Owners Denis Jensen and Randy Young paid $32,000 for the filly at the 2020 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale. Out of the Corona Cartel mare, Coronas Fast Honey, she is a full-sister to Los Alamitos Million Futurity(G1) finalist Fire Fast Corona ($55,465). Silver Racing Farm LLC bred the filly in California. The second dam First Prize Honey is a winning sister to Grade 1 winners First Prize Leesa SI 106, First Carolina SI 106, First Prize Robin SI 103 and G1-placed First Prize Perry SI 102, as well as stakes-placed First Prize Pari SI 108, First Prize Stone SI 98. Fire Fast Honey picked up $125,118 for the effort. |
