Smith's CORONAS FAST PRIZE posted the fastest qualifying time to the $75,000 Heritage Place Juvenile at Remington Park on Friday evening.
The daughter of Corona Cartel out of the Lady Bug Stallion Station blue-hen Fast First Prize won the seventh of nine trials by ˝ length in :17.455 seconds. Ridden by Cody Jenson and saddled by M. Heath Taylor, CORONAS FAST PRIZE pushed her career record to 3-0-0 from four starts. Her only off the board performance came in the $200,000 Remington Park Futurity(G1) after a slow break. The bay miss has earned more than $38,000 this season. The $1,000,000 Heritage Place finals are filled by the top five qualifiers from two nights of 18 trail races. CORONAS FAST PRIZE held on to the fourth fastest time until the final heat which was won by Knuckles O Toole over Remington Park Futurity(G1) winner Llano Teller. In other Lady Bug Stallion Station related new, Fred Stanley bred the fifth fastest qualifier to the $1,000,0000 Heritage Place Futurity from day 1, Jessica Del Rey.
The Fly Jess Fly filly is out of Lady Bug Stallion Station's All American Futurity(G1) finalist and multiple stakes producer Disco Del Rey, by Disco Jerry (TB). Disco Del Rey is also the dam of recent 660 Yard World Record holder Jess Jones.
