De Galle, a 5-year-old Oklahoma-bred son Carters Cartel, defeated Yeah Ima Country Boy by three-quarters while completing the course in :11.83 seconds. De Galle, a son of Carters Cartel, was making his first start for owner Cynthia Rodriguez and trainer Roy Ronquillo. The lightly raced gelding has won two of eight career starts and earned in excess of $20,000. Bred by Weetona Stanley, De Galle is from the multiple stakes producing Mr Jess Perry mare First Prize Paris. Yeah Ima Country Boy finished second for owner Charles Acosta and trainer Rey Moreno. Marty and Shalia Powers bred the 6-year-old Prime Talent gelding in Oklahoma from the Feature Mr Jess mare Stolen Honor. De Galle paid $3.60 to win. |
