JESS A PYC DASH TO START IN $100,000 RETMA PARK DERBY SATURDAY
Retama Park will host the $100,0000 Retama Park Derby on Saturday.

SELMA, TX–AUGUST 3, 2023–Jess A Pyc Dash posted his second consecutive win while qualifying for the Retama Park Derby at Retama Park on July 27.
The 10 fastest qualifiers, from four trial races contested, will return to the San Antonio area raceway on Saturday (August 5) to vie for the winner's share of a $100,000 purse.
Gilberto Gonzalez trains the son of leading sire Apollitical Jess for owner Juan Manuel Morton. Bred in Oklahoma by Weetona Stanley and Raymond Loup, from the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Pyc First Prize Dash, Jess A Pyc Dash has compiled a (12) 3-3-1 record and earned $35,183.
The second dam is First Prize Dash, a sister to all-time leading sire First Down Dash and a multiple Grade 1 producer.
