HEZA FAST DASH DOMINATES MARDI GRAS TRIALS
SIRES 5 WINNERS, 4 FINALISTS

BOOSIER CITY, LA—FEBRUARY 16, 2010—HEZA FAST DASH dominated the $300,000-est. Mardi Gras Futurity trials on Tuesday afternoon at Louisiana Downs with five trial winners and four finalists.

The ten fastest qualifiers from the 129 starters will return March 6th to contest the first official two-year-old futurity of the new year. The race for Louisiana-bred two-year-olds is contested at 300 yards.

Sheza Jess Love led the charge for her paternal siblings when she won the sixth trial by a head over High N Mitey. Racing for Charles Forbes, Jr., the sorrel miss came into the trials off a bullet work recorded at Louisiana Downs in January.

Bred by J.E. Jumonville, Jr. out of the Mr Jess Perry mare Jess Love, Sheza Jess Love was saddled by Frank Cavazos. Juan Vazquez was aboard for the :15.527 clocking, a speed index of 97.

HEZA FAST DASH's other finalists included third fastest Unrealistic and sixth fastest Illusions Dream, both owned by Gerald Libersat and eighth qualifier Fast Dashing Jewel who races for Ponderosa Ranch PC, Inc., and MCM Farms.

Libersat paid $75,000 for Illusions Dream, who won by 1 ¾, and $45,000 for Unrealistic, who scored by 2 lengths, at the LQHBA Yearling Sale last August. Kevin Broussard saddled both qualifiers.

HEZA FAST DASH finished last season as the #8 Leading Sire of 2009 Two-Year-Old Money Earners with more than $1 million in purse money. A gelded son of his, Heza Skipin Fast, kicked off his 2009 campaign in the Mardi Gras Futurity (RG2) and went on to earn more than $202,000.

Bred and raced by Weetona Stanley, HEZA FAST DASH, is a grade 2 stakes winner of $136,000. From five crops to race he has sired earners of nearly $5 million with average earnings per starter over $32,000.

Among money earners are Senor Seabolt ($418,999), Heza Fast Classic ($319,817), Heza Jodys Toast ($310,617) and Heza Skipin Fast ($202,609 at 2, 2009).
