SPIT CURL DIVA WINS FOURTH STRAIGHT
BREAKS ANOTHER TRACK RECORD

Dustin Orona PhotographyOKLAHOMA CITY, OK—MAY 15, 2010—Spit Curl Diva continued here dominance at Remington Park Saturday night, scoring her fourth consecutive win of the season while breaking a track record for the third-straight race.
Owned by the Iowa City, Iowa partnership of Lepic-Morgan, Spit Curl Diva won Saturday night’s $31,000 allowance feature and posted a new track record at 250 yards. It was her third new track record in a row, all at different distances.
Trained by Jody Brown and ridden by her husband David Brown, Spit Curl Diva came on after a good start to quickly gain control of the race before the halfway mark and then pulled away to win by three-quarters of a length in 12.93 seconds. The 4-year-old Oklahoma-bred mare shaved .185 seconds off the record set just last month by Miss Okey.
Spit Curl Diva established her first track record in March when she won the Decketta Handicap at 350 yards. However, she owned the mark for only 30-minutes as it was broken in the very next race on the program.
Spit Curl Diva posted a new standard at 300 yards over the slop in the Bob Moore Stakes on April 17. She now holds Remington Park records at 250 and 300 yards.
The victory was the 12th from 24 career starts for Spit Curl Diva who won her sixth career race at Remington Park. The daughter of SPIT CURL JESS from the Some Dasher mare Some Kinda Diva has never finished worse than third in 11 starts in Oklahoma City with four seconds and a third to go along with the six triumphs. The winner’s share of $17,884 moves Spit Curl Diva’s lifetime earnings to $542,923.

The heavy 1-2 wagering favorite, Spit Curl Diva paid $3 to win, $2.40 to place and $2.60 to show. Drop Of Corona ran second and paid $7.40 to place and $5.80 to show. Eyem Cleat was third and paid $9.40 to show.
