Speedhorse Magazine PhotoOKLAHOMA CITY, OK—MARCH 6, 2012—A pair of full brothers—one was the high seller at Heritage Place and the other was a six-figure yearling at Ruidoso—will head 16 schooling race on Wednesday (March 7) at Remington Park. The track's 2012 American Quarter Horse Mixed-Meet kicked off last Friday. Wednesday card will get underway at 11:30 a.m. with 14 races for two-year-old Quarter Horse and Paint races and two mixed race for three-year-olds and four-year-olds. All races will be contested over 250 yards. First Prize Moon, the 2011 Heritage Place September high-seller at $435,00, will start in the 10th race while his full brother, First Prize Smith, who sold for $140,000 at the Ruidoso Yearling Sale will start in Race 2. The brothers by Mr Jess Perry are full siblings to Heritage Place Futurity(G1) winner First Carolina, Remington Park Futurity(G1) winner First Prize Leesa, Remington Park Futurity(G1) winner First Prize Robin and Texas Classic Futurity(G1) runner-up First Prize Perry. Both two-year-olds are owned by Bonanza Racing Stables of Mission, Texas and trained by Fidencio Jimenz . Weetona Stanley of Madill, Oklahoma bred the pair from her former Broodmare of the Year and full sister to First Down Dash, First Prize Dash, Dash For Cash. First Prize Dash is the dam of 23 ROM, 22 winners, four grade 1 winners, one grade 2 winner, 1 grade 1 placed and three additional stakes-placed. She is the only mare to produce two Heritage Place Futurity(G1) winners and two Remington Park(G1) winners.
