PYC KANT KATCH ME SCORCHES TRACK FOR TOP TRIAL TIME

© Dustin Orona Photographyi>OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—MAY 5, 2012—Saturday was the second night of Heritage Place Futurity trials at Remington Park. PYC Kant Katch Me laid down the gauntlet for the Grade 1, $1,115,000 Heritage Place Futurity on May 26 with a brilliant trial performance. The undefeated 2-year-old colt launched from the starting gate and was never challenged in winning his trial by a whopping three lengths.
Jockey Cody Jensen has ridden PYC Kant Katch Me in all three of his victories but none as impressively has the second trial of 10 on Saturday. Jensen had PYC Kant Katch Me away from the gate and rivals so quickly that the only question was the final time for 350 yards. The display on the tote-board of :17.382 seconds confirmed the ultra-impressive effort that fans just witnessed.
Owned by Jesus Andrade, Jr. of La Grulla, Texas and trained by Judd Kearl, Pyc Kant Katch Me added the great trial win to his win in a Remington Park Futurity trial in late March and the subsequent score in the Remington Park Juvenile Stakes.
An Oklahoma-bred colt by Pyc Paint Your Wagon from the Disco Jerry (TB) mare Wanna Be Me, Pyc Kant Katch Me picked up $8,784 in winning his trial, moving his career money to $57,622. Breeder Weetona Stanley sold the colt for $13,00 at the Ruidoso Select Summer Yearling Sale.
