SPLIT LIKE JAGGER FASTEST HERITAGE PLACE
JUVENILE QUALIFIER ON NIGHT ONE
Split Like Jagger, under jockey G.R. Carter, Jr., winning sixth Heritage Place Futurity trial on Friday at Remington Park.
© Dustin Orona PhotographyOKLAHOMA CITY, OK—MAY 10, 2013—Steve Wilson and Rodney Reed's Spit Like Jagger just missed the $1 million Heritage Place Futurity(G1) Friday night ending up with the sixth fastest time of :17.614 seconds.
However, the 2-year-old did garner a spot in the $75,000-Guaranteed Heritage Place Juvenile Invitational starting gate on June 1. Reed also trains the son of leading Oklahoma sire Spit Curl Jess. G.R. Carter, Jr. had the riding assignment.
Weetona Stanley and W.E. Smith are the co-breeders of Spit Like Jagger who is out of the Corona Cartel mare Fast Prize Corona SI 101. She has also produced 2012 Oklahoma Futurity(G2) finalist Cr Tuckernuk.
The second dam is the Heritage Place Futurity(G1) winner Fast First Prize ($244,929), dam of Grade 1 winner and world record setter Fast Prize Zoom SI 112 ($192,875) winner of the West Texas Futurity(G1) and granddam of 2013 multiple stakes winner Fast Prize Jordan SI 109 ($191,469 to 4,2012), etc.
