The 10 fastest qualifiers, from the 41 head of Oklahoma-bred two-year-olds who started in Sunday's trials, will return to the Northeastern Oklahoma racetrack on Saturday, November 9 and vie for the winner's share of the purse over 350 yards. Under jockey Berkley Packer, Spit Curl Daisy picked up her third win in five starts this season by completing the 350 yards in :17.471 seconds, a 96 speed index. Trained by Rodney Reed for owner Steve Holt, the brown Spit Curl Jess daughter qualified to her first stakes this season. Weetona Stanley and W.E. Smith bred Spit Curl Daisy from the Corona Cartel mare First Prize Corona. Spit Curl Daisy has earned $30,348 this season.
