LOS ALAMITOS, CA—NOVEMBER 3, 2013—Owned by the partnership of Johnny Trotter and Burnett Ranches, Grade 1 Rainbow Futurity winner Ms First Prize Rose posted an impressive 350-yard gate workout under the lights at Los Alamitos on Friday night.

Bred by Weetona Stanley and William Smith, the daughter of Corona Cartel covered the distance in :17.80 with Ricky Ramirez in the irons. Ms First Prize Rose is slated to compete in the trials to the $2,000,000 Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity to be held on Sunday, November 24. Trotter and Burnett Ranches won the 2007 Two Million Futurity with the outstanding champion One Famous Eagle.

Ms First Prize Rose scored a nose win in the $1,000,000 Rainbow Futurity(G1) at Ruidoso Downs earlier this year. She won the Rainbow in a 400-yard time of :19.540. Ms First Prize Rose earned $500,000 for that win, her third from four starts.

Out of the Grade 1 winning and producing Mr Jess Perry mare First Carolina, she is a full sister to 2013 Remington Park Futurity winner Coronado Cartel, who is expected to make his next start November 9 in the $1,000,000 Texas Classic Futurity(G1) final at Lone Star Park. Another full brother Denver Pass won the 2011 Rainbow Juvenile Invitational at Ruidoso Downs.
