HEZA FAST DASH COLT TOPS LQHBA YEARLING SALE Date Posted: 1/15/2008 4:54:18 PM KINDER, LA—AUGUST 16, 2007—Peter Horton paid $100,000 for Signature Storm to top all yearlings at the Louisiana Quarter Horse Breeders Association Sale held August 10-12 at the Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder, LA. The three-day sale saw 396 yearlings find new homes for a total of $3,420,200, an average of $8,637. A total of 488 yearlings passed through the sales ring for $4,723,700. Consigned by Jo Baya Foreman, Signature Strom is a sorrel colt sired by second year sire Heza Fast Dash out of Fortunate Wind, by Six Fortunes. Fortunate Wind, a stakes-placed earner of $42,779, has produced six registered foals with three winners included stakes-placed Six Toasts who has earned $103,995 to 3, 2007. Heza Fast Dash, last years #2 Leading First Year Sire of Money Earners, has sired 34 winners, six stakes horses, earners of $1,520,947 with average earnings of $23,399. He is the sire of 2007 two-year-old restricted grade 1 stakes winner Senor Seabolt who is undefeated in five starts with wins that include the Lee Berwick Memorial Louisiana Bred Futurity(RG1) and the Louisiana Downs Champions Juvenile (RG3).
Heza Fast Dash was raced and bred by Weetona Stanely and is out 2006 Champion Broodmare of the Year Fast First Prize.
