WEETONA STANLEY/LADYBUG HORSES TAKE HONORS AT OQHRA BANQUET SATURDAY Date Posted: 2/16/2014 12:39:30 AM Weetona Stanley was honored on Saturday asn the Champion Oklahoma Breeder for 2013. OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—FEBRUARY 15, 2014—Members of the Oklahoma Quarter Horse Racing Association (OQHRA) gather Saturday night at the historic Will Rogers Theater in Oklahoma City to honors their top horses, horsemen and women of 2013.
Bob Moore Farms General Manager Frank Merrill and Lazy E Ranch co-manager Butch Wise served as emcees for the annual event. Weetona Stanley and William E. Smith were named Champion Oklahoma Breeder for 2013. Number 9 on the National Breeders' list, Ms. Stanley and Smith bred runners won 18 of 45 starts last year and earned $1,058,642. Mrs. Stanley on her own also bred another 32 winners with earnings of $862,246. Mrs. Stanley and Smith were also awarded the Oklahoma Leading Breeder of Quarter Horse Racing Stock Award.
