DUACHAIS FASTEST QUALIFIER TO RUIDOSO JUVENILE INVITATIONAL

© Gay Harris / Ruidoso DownsRUIDOSO DOWNS, NM—MAY 23, 2014—Duachais became the top qualifier to the $50,000-Guaranteed Ruidoso Juvenile QH Invitational after recording the 11th fastest time from 24 trials traces contested over two-days at Ruidoso Downs Thursday and Friday.
It was the first career start for the Pyc Paint Your Wagon filly out of Fast Prize Tracy, by Shazoom. The bay filly completed the 350 yards in :17.463 seconds, a 93 speed index, to just miss the $700,000 Grade 1 Ruidoso Futurity final.
Owned by William E. Smith, Duachais was bred by Weetona Stanley and William E. Smith. Wesley T. Giles conditions the filly with Larry Gamez getting the riding assignment.
The $50,000-Guranteed Ruidoso Juvenile QH Invitational final will be run on Sunday, June 8.
