Ridden by jockey Agustin Silva, the Spit Curl Jess gelding completed the 350 yards in :17.732 seconds into a 15 mph headwind. The $11,730 winner's purse boosted his career total to $27,700. Rodney Reed conditions the two-time winner from five starts this season. Weetona Stanley and W.E. Smith bred Spit Curl Trey from the Shazoom mare First Prize Tracy. Rodney Reed also saddled Paris Prize, a Pyc Paint Your Wagon filly, who finished half-a-length back in the show position. Also owned by Looking For Gold Racing and bred by Weetona Stanley and W.E. Smith the brown filly is from the Mr Jess Perry mare First Prize Paris. She picked up $2,151 under jockey Cody Smith. Rpainted Wagon, Hes Mighty Royal, One Sweet Mission, Jamaica Bold, Go Furr It and Paint Your Zoe and Tazumani Is Okay completed the field. |
