CLAREMORE, OK—NOVEMBER 8, 2014—Spit Curl Ten rolled to a half-length win over Bp Coronas Policy in the $52,500 Oklahoma Horsemen's Association Mystery Derby Saturday afternoon at Will Rogers Downs. Azoom Diamond finished a head back in the show position.

After running for a $20,000-tag at Remington Park on May 30, Spit Curl Ten has won two derbies for owner Jeffery Strange and trainer Brandon Reed. Champion jockey G.R. Carter, Jr. rode him to a :17.514 clocking in Saturday's Mystery Derby, a 96 speed index. Carter was also aboard when the Spit Curl Jess gelding eked out a victory in the $50,350 Speedhorse Gold & Silver Derby at Fair Meadows July 26.

Bred in Oklahoma, by Weetona Stanley from the Dash For Perks mare Oh What A Perks, Spit Curl Ten picked up $21,500 in the Mystery Derby to roll his earnings total to $95,093. His career record stands at (15) 3-5-3.

Trainer Brandon Reed had another champion jockey, Cody Jensen, aboard Bp Coronas Policy for owner/breeder Bill Price. The multiple stakes-placed Corona Cartel gelding earned $10,150 to boost his career total to $58,393. The sorrel is out of Marys Southernpolicy, by Shazoom.

Luz Chavira owns-and-trains Azoom Diamond, an Azoom filly out of Hot As Diamonds, by Hot As Hell. The graded-stakes-placed filly, ridden by jockey James Flores, earned $6,600 for the third place effort. Bollenbach Farms is the breeder.

Completing the field were Leaving, Delightful Cat, Ms Flashy Dancer, Captain Cash, Readi To Be Famous and Susies Timber. Mikes Frito Wagon was scratched.
