FIRST PRIZE CHICKS TOPS ONEIDA FAIRBOARD FUTURITY TRAILS
Oneida County Fair hosted four trials on Saturday's race card for the Oneida Fairboard Futurity.
© Oneida County FairMALAD, ID—AUGUST 1, 2015—First Prize Chicks set the top qualifying mark when she raced to 1¼-length trial win over fellow qualifier Shez A Motor Scooter in the third of four trials contested Saturday for the Oneida Fairboard Futurity at the Oneida County Fairground.
The eight fastest qualifiers will return to the Idaho racetrack on Sunday, August 9th to vie for the winner's share of a $10,000-added purse going 300 yards.
Sixth in the Pot O'Gold Futurity last May, First Prize Chicks complete the 300-yard task in :15.718 seconds to earn a 90-speed index. Monty Arrossa conditions the Spit Curl Jess filly for owner Five Livestock Company LLC.
The consistent filly has put together a (6) 2-2-1 record and earned $3,453 this season. Weetona Stanley bred the sorrel in Oklahoma from the Country Chicks Man mare First Prize Chic.
