CLAREMORE, OK—SEPTEMBER 12, 2015—Grade 2 Firecracker Futurity runner-up First Fancy Prize returned to Oklahoma to get the second fastest time during 11 trials contested for the Black Gold 350 Futurity Championship(RG3) Saturday at Will Rogers Downs.

The 10 fastest qualifiers, from the 94 two-year-olds who participated in Saturday's trail races, will return to the Northeastern Oklahoma raceway on Saturday, September 26 to vie for the winner's share of a $310,000 purse.

First Fancy Prize posted the second fastest time of :17.483 seconds, a 97 speed index, after romping to a 2 ˝ length victory in the final trial. Owned by the partnership of Scott Jones, Monica Jones and Raymond Loup, the Pyc Paint Your Wagon filly broke her maiden in her first start, the Remington Park Oklahoma-Bred Futurity trials. She then traveled to Louisiana where she was the fastest qualifier for the $318,120 Firecracker Futurity(G2) before finishing second in the July 4 final.

Champion jockey G.R. Carter, Jr. had the riding call for trainer Michael Taylor. Weetona Stanley and W.E. Smith bred First Fancy Prize from the Mr Jess Perry mare First Prize Fancy. She is a sister to 2014 Remington Park Oklahoma-Bred Futurity winner Im A Fancy Pyc. She has a (4) 3-1-0 record and has earned nearly $70,000.

Prized Wagon, a full brother in blood to First Fancy Prize also qualified with the 10 fastest clocking of :17.760. Donnie Lee Strickland saddled the son of Pyc Paint Your Wagon for owner Gene Cox. Robert and Karen Nunnally bred the colt in Texas from First Prize Honey, a Mr Jess Perry full-sister to First Prize Fancy. Both mares are out of former Broodmare of the Year First Prize Dash, by Dash For Cash.

Prized Wagon has won three of five starts this season, earning more than $81,000. He was a finalists in the $1.17 million Heritage Place Futurity(G1) at Remington Park last May.
