Under jockey Daniel Torres, Hez Our Prize, drew clear late while completing the 250 yards in :13.119 seconds, a 94-speed index into an 8-mph crosswind. He pocketed $10,140 of the $17,600 purse. The race conditions were Accredited Oklahoma-Bred 2-Year-Old Maidens. Trainer Clinton Crawford conditions the gray colt for owner Preston Cloud. Weetona Stanley is the breeder. A $15,000 Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate, Hez Our Prize, is out of the first crop of the unplaced Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Pyc Oh Whatta Rose. She is a half-sister to stakes winners Oh Jess Fly, Oh Cherokee Rose, and Spit Curl Ten. |
