The gelding launched from the starting gate to score the biggest margin win of the night while completing the 330-in :17.003 seconds over a fast track. Hez Our Prize rolled to his second daylight win in as many starts in the Race. Clinton Crawford saddled the son of first crop sire champion Hez Our Secret for owner Preston Cloud. A $15,000 Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate, Hez Our Prize is the first foal from the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Pyc Oh Whatta Rose. Daniel Torres was aboard for the 1 ¾ length trial victory. Weetona Stanley is the breeder. The Remington Park Futurity, restricted to eligible Oklahoma-bred 2-year-olds, will be contested for more than a million dollars for the first time on Saturday, April 22.
