FLY JESS FLY FIRST STARTERS HAVE BIG DAY AT REMINGTON PARK

First year sire Fly Jess Fly had a big day during training races at Remington Park on Wednesday.

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—FEBRUARY 13, 2008—Led by first year sire FLY JESS FLY, Lady Bug Stallion Station had a big day on Wednesday when Remington Park conducted the first training races of the year as horses prepared for the upcoming 2008 American Quarter Horse Season.

FLY JESS FLY, a grade 1 stakes-placed son of leading sire Mr Jess Perry, sired five starters in 14 training races that were run at 250 yards. He scored two winners, one second and one third.

Wanna Fly Jessie, a filly out of the Heza Fast Man mare, Wanna Be Fast, won the third race in a time of :13.96 seconds. The ninth race was won by Fly Like Me, a gelding out of the Disco Jerry (TB) mare, Wanna Be Me, in a time of :14.10.

Other FLY JESS FLY, offspring included Fly Jess Who was second in the fastest race of the day with a :14 flat and Fly Like A Bug who finished third in the 13th race with a :14.18.

It looks like Ladybug Stallion Station could be in for another big year at the track. The final race of the day was won by First Prize Corona in :14.02, a two-year-old filly out of Broodmare of the year First Prize Dash and sixth race was won by Fast Prize Zoom in :13.95. The Shazoom—Fast First Prize filly's time was the second best clocking on the day.

First Prize Paris, a two-year-old full sister to grade 1 stakes winners First Carolina and First Prize Robin, ran third in the eighth race a :14.09 clocking.
