Jls Ms Politicaljess finished a neck back in third place.
Four-year-old First Fancy Prize drifted in under jockey John Hamilton while completing the 350-yards in :17.404 seconds, a 97-speed index. It was the fourth career win for the Oklahoma-bred daughter of leading sire Pyc Paint Your Wagon from the Mr Jess Perry mare First Prize Fancy. Trainer Michael Taylor saddled the bay filly for owners Monica and Scott Jones and Raymond Loup. Bred by Weetona Stanley and W.E. Smith, First Fancy Prize is a sister to Remington Park Futurity(RG3) winner Im A Fancy Pyc and Speedhorse Futurity(G3) winner Fast N Fancy. First Fancy Prize has compiled an (11) 4-3-1 record and used the $15,000 Mother's Day purse to boost her earnings to $113,804. She was second in the Grade 2 Firecracker Futurity, second in the Delta Dash Stakes in April and third in the Mother's Day Stakes a year ago at Delta. Heza Fast Dash filly for owner Horses Of Fire, Inc. Bred in Louisiana by Rogers Farm and Tim and Jennie Rogers, the multiple stakes-placed mare has banked $47,411. Floriberto Maldonado had the riding call. Also, a 5-year-old, Jls Ms Politicaljess races for owner/breeder Jls Speed Horse Ranch, Inc. and trainer Lanny Keith. The daughter of leading sire Apollitical Jess was ridden by jockey J.R. Ramirez. Out of the Osceola Warrior mare Psalmist, the sorrel mare earned $2,750. Completing the Mothers' Day field were Mary Me Anna, Sheza Streakin Class, San Lorenzo Lady, Jetz A Streakin, Cajun Diva and Do Not Blink. |
