TULSA, OK —JULY 27, 2019 —Multiple stakes placed Tarish finally picked up his first career stakes win on Saturday night at Fair Meadows in the $82,200 Speedhorse Quarter Horse Derby.

Tarish ($8.20) is also graded stakes placed and exited a run of three consecutive second place finishes prior to Saturday’s win. He was the second fastest qualifier from four trials held on July 13, finishing second behind fastest qualifier Watah Litical Jess.

Daniel Antonio Torres had the call on Tarish in the Derby for trainer Dee Keener. The final time for the 350-yard derby was 17.543, fast enough for a 97 speed index.

Tarish is owned by Lloyd Yother and was bred in Oklahoma by William Smith, by < Prospect To The Top and out of grade 1 winner Fast Prize Zoom, by Shazoom.

Americas Dynasty and Agustin Silva were second in the stake, three-quarters of a length behind Tarish. Americas Dynasty is trained by R. L. Rick Robinson and is owned by Dunn Ranch. Matt Dun bred the filly in Oklahoma.

Americas Dynasty qualified to last year’s Speedhorse Futurity and finished fifth. This year, she was second in the Oklahoma Derby (G3) at Remington and fifth in the Oklahoma Horsemen’s Association Mystery Futurity (G3).

Third place finisher Saratoga Return was the third fastest qualifier, in which she also finished third behind Tarish.

She won a division of the FL Lady Bug Stakes last year at Remington Park and qualified to the Oklahoma Derby (G3) this spring.

Mario Delgado was aboard Saratoga Return, who also is trained by R.L. Rick Robinson and is owned by Marili Mendez. Efrain Mendez bred filly in Oklahoma.

Completing the field were Tac N Dale, Ja B Valiant, Dynasty First Class, Rundown, Docs Kansas Rep, Watah Litical Jess and Valiant High.
