DARK NME CONTINUES DOMINATION IN DAY 1 OF ALL AMERICAN TRIALS Date Posted: 8/16/2023 11:39:28 AM Dark Nme won the 10th trial by two lengths to set the fastest qualifying time on Day 1 for the $3-million All American Futurity(G1) . © Ernesto Salinas, Jr. / StallioneSearch RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM–AUGUST 11, 2023–Ruidoso Downs track record-holder and Rainbow Futurity(G1) winner Dark Nme continued to dominate her rivals on Friday when she rolled to a two length victory and the fastest qualifying time from 16 trials contested on the first of two days of trials at Ruidoso Downs for the $3 million All American Futurity(G1). The five fastest qualifiers from today will join the five fastest from 16 more trials contested Saturday in the $3 million All American Futurity(G1) final on Labor Day, September 4th. The winner will walk away with a cool $1.5 million payday. Bumped at the start jockey Francisco Calderon quickly got Dark Nme on her way as she completed the 440 yards in :21.101 seconds, a 97 speed index into a 4 mph crosswind, the fastest clocking of the day. It was the sixth consecutive win in as many starts for the Santos Carrizales, Jr. trainee. Owner TYKHE Racing LLC purchased the bay filly for $65,000 at the Heritage Place September Yearling Sale in Oklahoma City last fall. L. Hendrix Horses LLC bred Dark Nme in Oklahoma from the Spit Curl Jess mare Quions. The daughter to last year's All American Futurity(G1) winning sire Hes Relentless has banked $775,062 with wins in the Rainbow Futurity(G1) and the Remington Park Oklahoma-Bred Futurity(RG1). Dark Nme won her trial for the Ruidoso QH Futurity(G1) last month but ended the day with the sixth fastest time. Had she qualified for that race we may have been looking at only the second 2-year-old Triple Crown winner in history. Dark Nme has a perfect 5-for-5 record with wins in the Rainbow QH Futurity(G1) and Remington Park Oklahoma Bred Futurity(RG1) and has earned $769,062. Dark Nme is a sister to Black Gold 350 Championship Futurity winner Mr Dillard.
