JESS JONES WINS BY THREE, EARNS 99 SPEED INDEX Date Posted: 4/20/2008 1:37:54 PM OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—APRIL 20, 2008—Jess Jones, a 4-year-old Mr Jess Perry colt out of Lady Bug Stallion Station's mare Disco Del Rey scored a three length victory in a $23,000 Allowance at Remington Park Saturday night. Racing for J.D. Anderson and trained by Money Brooks, Jess Jones covered the 550 yards in :27.324 while recording a 99 speed index. Jess Jones pushed his career earnings $22,264 while picking his second win in three starts this season. He was second by a nose in his last start on March 29 at Remington. Bred by Fred Stanley, Jess Jones' dam Disco Del Rey is one of Lady Bug Stallion Station foundation mares. The daughter of Disco Jerry (TB) was a finalist in the 1992 All American Futurity(G1) and the Texas Classic Derby(G1) and Remington Park Derby(G1) in 1993.
