SALLISAW, OK—SEPTEMBER 21, 2008—Former Broodmare of the Year First Prize Dash produced her sixth and seventh stakes horses when two of her foals finished second and third in the 27th running of the $100,000 Black Gold 330 Futurity at Blue Ribbon Downs Race Sunday.

The full-sister to World Champion and All Time Leading Sire of Money Earners First Down Dash is the dam of 11 ROM, nine winners, four stakes winners and three stakes-placed from 14 starters.

Weetona Stanley and William E. Smith's First Prize Paris finished a nose off the Black Gold winner to earn $19,000 in place money. The daughter of Mr Jess Perry and First Prize Dash is a full-sister to stakes winners First Carolina ($404,775), First Prize Robin ($295,147) and stakes-placed First Prize Perry ($243,946). Another full sibling, First Prize Stanley topped the recent Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale at $675,000.

Saddled by Stacey Capps, First Prize Paris was ridden by Debbie Freeman.

The second offspring of First Prize Dash, to black type in the Black Gold Futurity final was First Prize Timber. The fastest qualifier from seven trials contested on September 7th, First Prize Timber was bumped at the start and only out finished by ˝ length taking the show spot.

The Oak Tree Special colt is owned by Smith and L. Scherwinski. Stacey Capps trained First Prize Timber who was ridden by Larry Payne and earned $11,400.

First Prize Timber is a full-brother to 2008 Grade 1 All American Derby finalist First Timber ($40,029 to 3, 2008).
