OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—APRIL 16, 2009—First Prize Leesa will look to emulate her sisters when she goes to the post in the $683,600 Remington Park Futurity(G1) Saturday night at the Oklahoma City track.

The 2006 two-year-old season at Remington Park was dominated by a pair of twin-embryo full sisters to First Prize LeesaFirst Carolina an earner of $415,047 and First Prize Robin an earner of $295,147.

First Prize Robin won the Remington Park Futurity(G1) that year while First Carolina took the Heritage Place Futurity(G1).

All three are daughters of Mr Jess Perry out former broodmare of the year, First Prize Dash. The full-sister to All-Time Leading Sire First Down Dash will be looking for her fourth grade 1 winner on Saturday night.

Family members seem to have a love affair with Remington Park, with another half-sister, Fast First Prize, winning the Heritage Place Futurity(G1) at the Oklahoma City oval in 2002.

Another half-brother and leading 2009 sire of two-year-old winners, Heza Fast Dash, finished second in the Remington Park Futurity in 2000.

Racing for her breeder Weetona Stanley and W.E. Smith, First Prize Leesa won the last of ten trials by 1-3/4 lengths in :16.755 for the fourth fastest qualifying time. Trained by Heath Taylor and ridden by champion jockey G.R. Carter, Jr., it was her first career start.

Evelio Salazar’s fastest qualifier, Dynaglide, brings the most experience in to the race with three career starts. Trained by Steve Garrision, the Dash Thru Traffic filly has gone off as the favorite in each of his starts and has put together two wins after finishing fifth in his career debut, a Louisiana Downs maiden race. Cody Jenson will in the irons.

Dynaglide won a maiden race at Louisiana Downs by nearly three lengths on a muddy racing surface before coming to Remington Park.

Just a nose back was the Fly Jess Fly filly, CR Sugar N Spice. Dynaglide was clocked in :16.728 for 330 yards while CR Sugar N Spice was timed in :16.731 for the top two qualifying time.

The aforementioned W.E. Smith also owns CR Sugar N Spice who was bred by Mrs. Stanley. She prepared for the Remington Park Futurity trials with a one-half length victory in a Remington Park maiden race.

Stacey Capps saddles the gray miss with Larry Payne on board.

Carded as the 10th race on the program Saturday night, the Remington Park Futurity will run at approximately 10:04 p.m. (CDT).
