Photo by Coady PhotographyAURORA, CO—JULY 12, 2009—Marvin Willhite's home-bred filly Sheza Fast Dasher picked up her second straight win on Sunday when she scored by ˝ length in the $101,640 Rocky Mountain Futurity(G3) at Arapahoe Park.
Coming off a one-length trial victory on June 26th, the brown filly covered the 350 yards in :17.520 seconds to earn a career high 100 speed index. Saddled by John Hammes and ridden by Alex Baldillez, Jr., the daughter of HEZA FAST DAH ran her career record to 2-2 from four starts. Alex is the grand son-in-law of Lady Bug Stallion Station owner, Wetonna Stanley. Sheza Fast Dasher picked up the winners paycheck of $40,660 for her effort. Bred and raced by Mrs. Stanley, HEZA FAST DASH is a grade 2 stakes winner of $136,000. From four crops to race he has sired earners of more than $4 million with average earnings per starter over $25,000. Among money earners are Senor Seabolt ($418,999 to 4, 2009), Heza Fast Classic ($309,817), and Heza Jodys Toast (303,617 to 5, 2009). Heza Jodys Toast won the restricted grade 1 $100,000 Louisiana Classic Stakes on Sunday night (July 12) at Delta Downs.
