Photo courtesy: Rhodes GalleryKINDER, LA—AUGUST 15, 2009—Heza Fast Dash was the leading sale sire at the two day event LQHBA Yearling Sale held at Coushatta Casino Resort in Kinder, Louisiana. He sired the top three sale yearlings. The 378 horses sold grossed $2,689,150 and averaged $7,114. This was compared to 380 sold in 2009 for $2,993,800 gross and a $7,878 average. Total sales receipts for the 548 head that passed through the ring was $3,810,300. Gerald Libersate signed the top ticket of $75,000 for Illusions Dream offered by Robicheaux Ranch, Agent for Jo Baya Foreman. The Heza Fast Dash gelding is out of the stakes winning Streakin La Jolla mare JJ Streakin Illusion, dam of restricted grade 2 stakes winner Listen To The Wind. Libersate also purchased the co-second high-seller, Unrealistic, a Heza Fast Dash filly that brought $45,000 on the first day. She is a ˝ sister to stakes winner Illusioneer and stakes-placed Streakin Illusively. Robicheaux Ranch, Agent for Danny Trahan Quarter Horses was the consignor. Mackie Racing LLC purchased Resputia, the co-second high-seller at $45,000, from Rhonda Carmello, Agent for W.W. Darling. Also sired by Heza Fast Dash, the sorrel filly is out of the restricted grade 2 stakes winning Mr Jess Perry mare Dashing Obsession and a ˝ sister to Zathua, a multiple restricted grade 1, 2 and 3 finalists. |
